Brampton Real Estate - the market is normal!
As I write this, it's a cooler summer afternoon with rain on the 30th of June - it feels more like a spring day than summer. And that brings to mind thoughts of the "spring" market that we've just experienced.
Well, the market turned out to be pretty decent - a little above last year's numbers (before the economic fuddle-duddle). As of last night, there have been 353 house sales in Brampton east of Highway 410 (MLS District W24), a little more than last year's sales of 330 units in the month. And, prices have increased too - a modest 3.7% in sales of detached homes (from approx $399K last year to $414K this year).
So, it seems to me that the market really is stable - sales are steady and prices are steady, too. This is the type of market that I like best - providing value to both sellers and buyers.
If you know anyone who is contemplating selling their home, have them give me a call at 416-819-2509. I'm happy to take a look at their house and give them a fair market value estimate - no charge! Or if you know someone hoping to buy a home (I love helping first-time buyers!), send them my way too.
Professional service. Expert advice.
