Staging Your Home at Christmas

"As the holiday season approaches, it is difficult to know what to do with the holiday decorating when you are trying to sell.
K.I.S.S.  Keep It Simple Silly!  Yes, it's O.K. to put up a tree or some decorations but when you do, make sure that your tree doesn't take away too much floor space and make the room appear small.
Do half of what you normally do so the "spirit of the season" is visible but not overwhelming.  Some people don't celebrate Christmas and they may be trying to picture your home without everything and will find it more difficult if you have an excessive amount of Christmas decorations throughout.
It is important to enjoy your surroundings while making it still "saleable" and "neutral" as best you can.  If your home does not sell after the holidays, take the decorations down soon after so you can keep the house "staged" and "neutral".
Above all, enjoy the holidays and the spirit of the season regardless of your religion or beliefs.  The season should be enjoyed by all.  All the best to you and your families for Christmas and the New Year."
