Brampton A’s Basketball Team

In its brief existence, the Brampton A’s Basketball league has displayed an exhilarating and highly skilled level of basketball, showcasing talented players from all over the world. In their second year, the Brampton A's Basketball team was 27-13 in their first season with the second best record in the league! They’re a professional Canadian basketball team that play out of the Powerade Centre in Brampton, Ontario. The 2013-2014 season was the A’s inaugural season in the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC). Founded in 2011, they’re also Canada’s only professional basketball league. In their first season, Head Coach David Magley led the A's to an outstanding 27-13 record, finishing second place in the league. The NBLC is made up of 8 teams that are located as far west as Windsor, Ontario, and stretch all the way out to the East coast of Canada, making up the Atlantic Division with teams in Charlottetown, Halifax, St. John, and Moncton. The other teams joining Brampton and Windsor in the Central Division are located in Ottawa, Mississauga, and London. Players are scouted, recruited and drafted from the NCAA, CIS, FIBA, OCAA, and many other leagues and associations that display talent at a high enough level. The teams ‘Mantra’ is “Serving their way to success” while they strive to spend time in the community serving the needs of the market through non-profit initiatives and partnerships with local schools.
