As we celebrate the Joys of an Old Fashioned Christmas in Downtown Collingwood, we are quickly getting ready for the annual Santa Claus Parade taking place on November 22nd.
The theme this year is "A Dickens Christmas" with a full day of fun and activities planned in Downtown Collingwood! The parade will be held on Saturday, November 22, beginning at 5 p.m., as we launch the holiday season. The parade will finish with the official lighting of the Town’s Christmas tree, followed by a magical display of fireworks!
The Downtown core will be rocking around the Christmas tree so be sure to visit Downtown Collingwood and watch it transform into a ‘wintery playground’ with picturesque holiday lighting installations throughout, carollers, seasonal banners and a fun-filled day of one-of-a-kind signature events to launch the holiday season!
Now is the time to register your Santa Claus parade float with the Collingwood committee. All entries will be judged in three categories – Non-Profit Organizations / Service Clubs, Youth, and Industrial & Commercial. Each of the above categories will receive prizes as follows – 1st – $100.00, 2nd – $60.00, 3rd – $40.00. There is no entry fee for community groups and non-profit organizations.
