Fernwood Farms & Market: Where Good Things Grow!

Discover all that fall has to offer at Fernwood Farms & Market in Stayner. Take the family on a wagon ride through 110 acres of stunning farmland, wonder around Pumpkinland and join the Corn Maze challenge.

Owners, Kevin and Krista Ward have been very busy this season stocking their market with locally sourced jams, preserves, gifts, fresh veggies, hormone free meats and delectable baked goods.  You’ll surely want to try their seasonal donuts such as the pumpkin spice or apple cider donut.  To die for!

In the Ward family since 1973, Fernwood Farms is located in Stayner, Ontario and (depending on what time of the year), the Ward farmers grow a wide variety of produce, from black raspberries, golden raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, squash, corn, strawberries and of course, pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.

Fernwood Farms proudly carries 90% local, Ontario and Canadian products.  At the farm, you’ll soon stumble across the largest candle lit pyramid of pumpkins (grown at the farm of course!) in the area!  Goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits to feed, an enormous hay tractor for the kids to climb on, and much more ‘where good things grow’ at Fernwood Farms & Market.  Every weekend during October is an exciting adventure.

While you’re visiting the farm, be sure to inquire about Grannies traditional homemade pie baked in a bag; this is without doubt, a must try!

Pumpkinland & Corn Maze – open every Sat & Sun (11-5) & Mon (10-4) during the month of October.  And there’s more – games, mini putt, pumpkin hunt, pick your own pumpkin, play areas and the animals; the animals love the attention of visitors!

Market Hours – 9am – 6pm, daily.

Located on Hwy. 26, 2 km. north of Stayner, between Wasaga Beach and Stayner, or better yet, just look for the market with the big red roof and unique ‘curb appeal’ and you’ll discover Fernwood Farms!
