What is Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy uses the thermal recuperative and healing properties of water to revitalize and restore health.
Hydrotherapy includes hot and cold stimuli to elicit specific reactions in the body to relieve stress, soothe the skin and muscles, calm the organs and improve circulation. Cold is stimulating, and therefore causes superficial blood vessels to constrict, temporarily diverting blood flow from the internal organs. In contrast, hot water removal of toxins from body tissues. Alternating hot and cold water maximizes both effects and can also decrease inflammation.
