Wasaga’s Proposed Subdivision

On March 24th, Wasaga Beach is holding a public meeting at the Town Hall Council Chamber to discuss the proposed plan of a subdivision and zoning by-law amendment featuring 3 single detached lots, 6 open space blocks and 56 units on 10 townhouse blocks for a total of 59 residential units.

The proposed zoning by-law amendment adjusts the sites existing: Residential Type One (RI) and Open Space (OS) Zones and rezones it to the Residential Type Three Thirty-First Exception Holding (R3-31H) Zone.

The exception zone provides front and rear yard relief for two of the 56 proposed townhouses and allows development to occur on internal private roads and increases the maximum lot coverage for townhouses including decks from 45% to 49%.

The effect of the proposed plan of subdivision and zoning by-law amendment would be to permit 3 single detached dwellings fronting onto 42st Street south and 56 townhouses with amenity and open space areas.

Everyone is welcome to attend or present submissions for the proposed plan of subdivision and zoning by-law amendment. For more information please contact the Municipal Planning Department at 705-429-3847.

Meeting Date: March 24, 2015

Location: Town Hall Council Chambers
