Strong, Proud and Free - Canadians Find Ways to Remember Our Soldiers

The incredible courage and sacrifice that our Veterans made for our country is top of mind for many of us. One way to remember them and to say thank you is to plant a Garden of Remembrance.

Flowers are a beautiful way to express gratitude as well as remind us of important moments in our history according to Veterans Affairs Canada. Along with planting flowers, you can also create a rock garden for everyone in your family to enjoy. This can be a really effective way of reminding us throughout the year to pause, reflect and be grateful for the sacrifice our soldiers made (and continue to make) for our country.

So remember to wear your poppy proudly and pause for a moment of reflection tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. (the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month) to recognize the extreme heroism of our Veterans and to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
