Welcome to Bel Air Park!
With a multitude of recreational facilities, schools and churches, Bel Air Park is one of Ottawa’s friendliest family neighbourhoods. Accommodating families of all ages, Bel Air Park consists of mainly single-detached houses. Woodroffe Avenue, Baseline Road, Navaho Drive and Highway 417 are the neighbourhood’s official boundaries. Major housing development was competed by Campeau Construction between 1958 and 1961. From bungalows to two-story style homes, the neighbourhood has a variety of spaces that are comfortable and efficient.
Recreation Facilities
By living in Bel Air Park, residents are given the opportunity to use park lands, including Kenson Park and Bel Air Park, and bike routes (with over 11km of paved paths in the area). There are many outdoor recreation facilities and major community centers are only a short distance from the neighbourhood. There is also a public outdoor pool at Bel Air Park.
There are a number of schools in the vicinity, including St. Daniel’s Catholic School, Nepean High School, Algonquin College, J.H. Putman Middle School and the Torah Academy of Ottawa. For those looking to participate in regular mass, St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church and Holy Trinity Church are nearby.
Transportation
The OC Transpo bus routes that run through the neighbourhood include the 174, 186, 150 and 151. This, along with the closeness of the Maitland Avenue 417 Highway exit, makes Bel Air Park an excellent location for commuters and drivers.
