Who is Joyce Megson?

Joyce is a soft spoken, diligent, caring and knowledgeable realtor commencing year number thirteen. She worked as a professional realtor in the Edmonton market for seven years. In 2004 she moved to the Sylvan Lake area to learn the Central Alberta market.

Joyce divides her time almost equally between buyers and sellers. Her goal is to help clients find the most excellent property for their individual situation. What that means to Joyce is that she listens "hard". She gives forthright answers and expects honest feedback from clients.

When she is working with buyers, she envisions the salability of the property at the time that buyer becomes a seller. Therefore, Joyce makes buyers aware of features and locations that will maintain and increase the value of the new property. Joyce establishes long term relationships with her clients, so many of Joyce's sellers are repeat clients or referrals.

When Joyce works with sellers, she is dedicated to precise marketing strategies to ensure that the seller receives top market price in the shortest amount of market time with the least amount of family interruption and inconvenience.

In the past, Joyce utilized her Bachelor of Education to teach real estate in private post secondary school. Now Joyce spends one or two days per month teaching in the Real Estate Associate Program for new realtors.

The quietness of country living is what Joyce enjoys; gardening and growing specialty trees. She lives on a century farm where her grandparents homesteaded in 1903. She has always had a hand in "farming", and still includes farms and acreages in her real estate client base.

Joyce always strives for excellence, and in 2006 ranked #9 in the Century 21 Advantage office. Her competitive nature is a benefit to clients...when Joyce is negotiating a contract, she does her utmost to not be the one to say "no"! In Joyce's first full year at Century 21 Advantage she achieved Masters Ruby and in her second year she climbed to Masters Emerald. Joyce is looking forward to closing out 2007 in a very positive fashion.
