One of the highlights in my personal calendar is taking place at 8:00 this coming Saturday night at The Centre in the Square. Canadian National Fiddle champion Frank Leahy’s most hilarious creation yet, "A Fiddler's Take on the Symphony Orchestra", is an event that I will be sharing with a few of my girlfriends, who are just as appreciative of the arts as I am.
So, if you see 4 ladies acting like maniacs, grinning from ear to ear while tapping their toes and clapping their hands uncontrollably (but, of course, with amazing rhythm because we may be a little goofy, but no one can call us uncoordinated), chances are you've spotted me and my little posse! We all work too hard and need to relax when the opportunity arises. Seize the opportunity! Visit http://kwsymphony.ca/2010_11/january_sale.php to take advantage of the $25 seat sale, and take a few of your friends, too.
By the way, I also attended two other amazing events. My friend Christine joined me at the Men with Horns Christmas concert. A little off subject, but quite hilarious was the contest Christine and I had to see who could spot the most Christmas sweaters. Christine won by a landslide, and I booked an eye exam for next week. I also attended one of the Baroque series at First United Church with my sister-in-law Kathleen. She is the Director of Music at First United, so I didn't have the nerve to suggest the Christmas sweater search there.
I support the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony because they inspire me!
