Look what I found today in a 2008 online issue of one of my favourite magazines? This used to be the living room of actress Diane Keaton.
Keaton purchased the 8,434-square foot seven bedroom, nine bath home, complete with interior courtyard and fountain, for $8.1 million in 2007, and it was recently listed at $10.95 million. Not sure what the sale price was and not exactly sure how healthy the Los Angeles real estate market has been these days (I'm keeping my eye on Kitchener-Waterloo).
But, I will say this much. Diane Keaton and I have two things in common. Our names (I'm Julie D. for Diane), and our good taste in decor.
I absolutely adore Spanish-inspired architecture, but have found that it's a bit out of place in the land of ice and snow. However, we do have Casa Loma, warming things up in Toronto. Can't complain about that.
