Three days ago, the announcement was made that our regional airport will be offering daily flights to Chicago via American Eagle starting in June. Some love this news, some hate it, but let's face it, Kitchener-Waterloo isn't a small town anymore. Those who want to see positive growth here see this as a good thing for this region.
It might cost the tax payers a few bucks, but those who travel often are paying airport taxes in other cities, and Toronto's airport taxes are the highest in the country!!
O'Hare Airport was ranked the 2nd largest in the United States last year for passenger volume of 76,510,003 travelers. I wonder how those numbers will look after June! :)
Take a look at the Record Article and let me know what you think. Are you for it or against it? If you love to travel as much as I do, you'll probably know what I'm thinking about this change. But, whether we see eye to eye or not, I'd love to hear from you. In fact, I would even post your comments if you'd like.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
