I grew up in a small lakeshore town, on the west side of Michigan, just across the lake from Milwaukee and three hours north of Chicago. I am the youngest of five girls, and have fantastic memories of all of the family vacations we took together. My parents instilled in us the importance of family values, hard work and the love of music and travel.
When I was a teenager, we moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and lived in the Carolinas a few short years, just long enough to make me realize how many opportunities life has to offer, and the opportunities only get greater when there is some risk involved.
At the age of 20, I moved to Florida and spent 13 years there. While in Florida, I spent several years working in the group travel industry, arranging and leading tours within the United States and abroad in Central America, Europe and the Middle East. I then worked in Sales Management at Geico Direct Insurance, a Fortune 500 company. In the property and casualty insurance field, I learned all about liability and risk management, and those skills still serve me today in how I approach real estate transactions. In every position I have held, I have enjoyed connecting with people and I continue to stay in touch with folks from across the globe.
In 2005, I met and married the man of my dreams, who happens to be a Canadian, and without much delay, I joined him here. Roger and I share a love of work and play, and when we aren't off working or playing, we are right at home in Waterloo. Roger owns a custom woodworking business called Lasting Impressions & Company Inc., and I offer Roger's clients as well as my own, complimentary interior decor services.
In Ontario, I keep busy and continue to expand my interests and involvement in business and the community, making connections along the way with people, impacting as many as I can. Last year, I launched a Networking group for business owners. I serve on my neighbourhood association as well as Go Missions in Action addressing the needs of our local community and abroad. I promote the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony because I value the arts and their music inspires me. I work with clients who are buying homes, those who are expanding their investment portfolios and those who are selling, and I count it a privilege to serve every one of them!
It is great to be able to combine my passion for real estate and travel into this exciting program called the Florida Real Estate Exploration Tour. I know and understand from experience what each region of Florida has to offer, and I am excited about helping Canadians realize their dreams of buying a 2nd home not just in a warmer climate, but in the location that would best suit their interests, lifestyle and budget.
I truly hope that youa re able to join me in one of these upcoming adventures!
