COFFEE SHOPS
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love coffee. I buy my own dark roasted beans, grind them every morning and brew coffee very specifically with bottled water. When I travel, I take my French press with me. I have been called a coffee snob by people who do not really understand that connoisseur is a better descriptive. In my business, I work very strange hours. I often need a pick-me-up in the middle of the afternoon or early evening when I know it will be a long night. But, I do not just want caffeine. I want something delicious that cannot be found in just any old coffee shop. There a couple of chains that I would not touch with a ten foot pole, and another chain that I do enjoy but with the money they are raking in, they do not really need my business. I recently had a listing in Elmira and found myself frequenting a cute little coffee shop every time I was there. I have since added The Robins Nest to my favourite places to visit when I am in the area. You will be sure to enjoy their selections as well.

York Nursery They have a lovely array of plants from which to choose, and a whole team of professionals to help you decide on what "look" you're going for. Also, their retail store offers some very beautiful items, and you can have custom baskets made for you there, too. Great place to buy a gift.

Dan Davis does the photography for all of my listings. Adding Dan's professional photography to the list of services that I offer my seller clients has been a good move because I believe that his quality of work and attention to detail has been instrumental in making my marketing package stand out among the pack.
Sara Geidlinger did my personal marketing photos a few years ago. The end result included not just professional shots, but also some that show a bit more personality to portray my down-to-earth approach to business. Sara achieved the perfect balance of what I was looking for. She has been highly recommended since to many of my colleagues for the same reason and everyone has been happy with her work!

Chinese at Kam Yin Dinner for 4 including pop for ONLY $26, and it's always fresh and delicious.
Indian at Kismet The food makes up for the modest atmosphere. Everything I've ever tried at Kismet is excellent. My favourites are the dal soup, the chicken tikka masala and the mango lassi.
Southern Pit BBQ in Canada? Yes!! Two locations, same great recipes. Hogtails & Lancaster Smokehouse My husband and I are on a first name basis with the owner, his family and the staff. Kinda scary, maybe, but we would rather think of it as supportive of our local economy. It's no wonder that many of these recipes have won awards throughout the South because it's definitely authentic (and I know what I'm talking about because I lived in the Southern States for 15 years). Try a combo meal and share it with someone because the portions are huge. Pulled pork, Texas beef brisket and blackened chicken breast...it's all good. The Lancaster Smokehouse offers live Blues music.
Burgers at Frat Burger Milk shakes and poutine are also delicious. The portions are just right, and so are the prices. Same owners as the old Mel's Diner.
Fine dining at Sole is sure to be a treat in 150 year old Seagram's building (must have Creme Brulee for dessert). Also, I really enjoy The Bauer Kitchen. The others in the Charcoal Group are great, too, but the Uptown location of the Bauer Kitchen is the best.
