Kelowna

British Columbia

Beautiful Kelowna is in the southern part of BC. Situated in the Okanagan Valley and on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake, Kelowna is surrounded by provincial parks, pine forest, vineyards, orchards and mountains.

With a population of around 222,700, the city is home to Okanagan College and the University of British Columbia. The service industry employs many of the residents of the city, as this is the biggest city in the Okanagan Valley for tourism. The surrounding locale is home to quite a few vineyards, and some have called it the Napa Valley of Canada.

As part of BC’s bustling film industry, Kelowna has been used as a film location for movies such as Fido, Mee Shee: The Water Giant, Shred, and Shred 2.
