Housing Starts Continue to Recover and Rebound

CMHC, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, predicts housing starts will reach just under 142,000 in 2009 and increase to almost 165,000 in 2010. As the economy improves, so will the housing market.

It also says the demand for existings homes will also continue to increase. We are seeing this in the Saskatoon real estate market with the lower inventory levels.

But, beware as we may be in a 'catching up' period after people hesitated when the market was in a slump. Will it remain this strong across Canada, probably not. But the price is expected to go up across the nation.

Don't wait too long to buy a house in Saskatoon and area!
