Supporting a local charity in a big way!

This truck, affectionally named Snakebit, was recently auctioned off at the Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Built, created, and donated by a team of experts from Saskatoon they were able to raise over $450,000!

The truck, a 1956 Ford F-100 pickup truck that was merged with a Shelby Mustang and a 5.4-litre V8 engine, was auctioned off with the help of Saskatoon native Shannon Tweed and her husband, KISS bassist Gene Simmons.

All money from the sale will go to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, which is raising money to build Saskatchewan's first children’s hospital in Saskatoon.

On the team of experts included the builder Byron Theissen, design concept by Bruce Williams, Tom Foster (who sparked the original idea), Ford sponshorship and donator Vaughn Wyant, and Wayne Halabura acting as a consultant to the team as he is an experienced builder and has sold two of his cars at Barrett Jackson before.

Century 21 Fusion's own Susan Halabura was able to go to the auction and support her husband Wayne and the rest of the team.

Way to go guys! Thanks for all the hard work and we're now that much closer to seeing a Children's Hospital be built.
