One of the major announcements made by the Federal Conservatives in their latest budget was concentrated on the labour force.
In fact, 130,000 individuals a year are expected to benefit from the new Canada Jobs Grant.
A maximum federal contribution of $5,000. and matching contributions from the province and employers will help Canadians access the training they need to get jobs in high-demand fields.
The full support is contingent on the support of the provincial government and their budget. MPP Jeff Yurek says this is something the provincial Liberals should be looking at supporting.
The provincial government will release their budget within the next month or so.
