Shedden, Ontario is a hamlet in Southwold Township, Elgin County in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is known as "The Rhubarb Capital of Ontario" and is home to the "Rosy Rhubarb Festival" which is held in early June each summer. It was named in honour of John Shedden who was the foreman during the construction of Toronto's Union Station.
It contains a public library, a medical clinic, a volunteer-based fire hall, and a jujutsu dojo.

The first advance polling date will be Wednesday October 15th from 10 am - 4 pm. There's also advance polling Thursday Oct 16 and Friday Oct 17 from noon to 7 pm.
Elgin-Middlesex London MPP Jeff Yurek is hoping to bring senior's driver licence renewal sessions to St.Thomas.
Yurek says travelling all the way to London can be a stressful experience for seniors. He say's he has discussed the issue with MTO officials who said they're open to conducting sessions in St.Thomas if there's a visable need for the service.
