Over the holidays I like to give back to the community. This year I had the opportunity to lend a hand at Youth Haven. I was delighted to be involved with Christmas dinner however, I was saddened by the thought of teenagers and what circumstances have brought them to Youth Haven.

As I entered,to my surprise the wonderful smell of turkey filled the home and the teenagers were happy to sit and have a conversation with a total stranger. There was no concern for materialistic items,just an appreciation for a  helping hand.

So,just remember the next time you are asked to give of your time and feel that you are too busy,please keep in mind that you always receive more in return that you could have ever imagined.
