"How many Sleeps till Christmas?" Says my daughter. This is a typical question in my house when there is a great anticipation about something, Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, or whatever my 7 yr old deems VERY important! I love that question. It reminds me of those nights (when I too was little) leading up to Christmas, or any important event when the sheer joy of the occasion was all you ...

Fall into Winter! Well I must say that this time of year is my absolute favourite if only for the cooler weather, which I am very partial too. I always get a better sleep when the weather is cool, I prefer a walk in the woods when you can hear the leaves crunching under foot, you can sit outside by a fire when it darkens into evening and you won't be attacked by mosquitoes :) I ...

Awww!, the back to school buzz, I remember when it meant the end of long lazy days of total boredom, and sleeping in late, going to friends and hanging out on a Wednesday afternoon, shopping for the perfect back to school wardrobe. Now from the other side of the fence it means making sure the alarm clocks are set, school clothes are all washed for the week, the cupboards are stocked the school appropriate ...

Listing a property with local history is very interesting! My current listing is a school house built in 1863 just outside of Tweed, lots of original features,it even has the chalk board still on the wall. Its interesting to come across people who new family or friends that attended the school,or who maybe even went to the school themselves. I try not to say the over used word "charming" ...

My daughter recently went out to our garden armed with a healthy dose of enthusiasm,a huge smile and the patience to sit out there all day till she found some butterflies. I looked at her roaming the garden and found myself equating my feelings about my new career to her feelings looking for butterflies.I,like her, have armed myself with the knowledge I need to accomplish my goals, and ...
