SALES SALES SALES

People are always asking how the market is in Central Alberta. We are just fine thank you. The market has improved from last year. As we are getting into the fall the market will usually slow down a bit but I fully expect the that the market will stay strong throughout the winter. Why? Well consumer confidence is high right now. People have a good feeling about the Alberta economy. If you walk through any mall people are carrying bags and everyone I talk to is more upbeat.

Sales in Red Deer so far this year has been 1338 with an average sale price of $306,966 compared to 1187 sales last year for the same time period with an average sale price of $286,616. This is an increase of 12% in sales.

Sales in Sylvan Lake so far this year has been 263 with an average sale price of $326,336 compared to 198 sales last year for the same time period with an average sale price of $295,996. This is an increase of 25% in sales.

Sales in Blackfalds so far this year has been 165 with an average sale price of $284,900 compared to 128 sales last year for the same time period with an average sale price of $273,047. This is an increase of 22% in sales.

Sales in entire Central Alberta area so far this year has been 3556 with an average sale price of 286,672 compared to 3080 sales last year for the same time period with an average sale price of $269,573. This is an increase of 14% in sales.

So yes all Central Alberta has picked up from last year.
