Art Shoppe lofts & condos consist of two towers. The North Tower comprises 28 stories, while the South Tower comprises 12 stories. The two towers share a common 6 storey base. The building is being constructed on the site of The Art Shoppe furniture store. The first and second floors will offer retail space, including restaurants, cafes, and potentially a grocery store.

The marketing theme of this project is ‘the art of change’. This is an inspiring phrase that reflects the team’s belief that a project such as this is one of the ways which makes them leaders in the urban transformation. It also retains a link to the current furniture store’s name. The prices will start from $205,900.

The third, fourth and fifth floors will be for residential units. There will then be plenty of amenity space on the sixth floor. The unit sizes will range from 330 sq. ft. To over 1000 sq. ft. The tentative occupancy date of these condos is the year 2019.

The transit score is of 92. In this area there is a world-class public transportation system with the TTC subway and buses. There is also the new Eglinton Crosstown LRT that is scheduled to be completed by the year 2020. The building is also close to major highways and arteries. Metrolinx has in fact identified Yonge & Eglinton as a ‘place to grow mobility hub’.

With the LRT there are many advantages to be gained. For instance the 19 km Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit will manage to cut travelling time significantly, as well as conveniently link to 54 local bus routes, GO Transit and 3 TTC subway stations. It is also worth point out that the closest LRT station to The Eglinton, namely the ‘Mount Pleasant’, is going to be just 2 minutes away. To give a general idea of the proximity of key areas, we can mention that there will be just 20 minutes away from the Eaton Centre and the Yonge-Dundas Square, 24 minutes to the Union Station and 45 minutes to the Pearson International Airport.
