Historic White Rock, a town named after a distinctive large rock

Have you ever wonder while walking or jogging along the beach near the promenade on Marine Drive you gaze upon a large tall white rock. In fact this 486 ton granite boulder migrated south during the last glaciation,was kept white by shell-fish and seabirds who guano covered the rock.Presently it is kept white by the City park who applies monthly coats of paint.
