Spring is finally here, in the Saskatoon real estate market anyway! Although the cold weather and incredible snowfall kept the market at a slower pace for the beginning of the year, the market is off to a great start for the second quarter.
According to SRAR, real estate listings in March were up 21% over February and sales were up 35%. Activity is still 5% lower compared to March 2012 but that is largely contributed to the poor weather conditions this year. Now that the weather is shaping up, things are getting exciting in the market again!
There is a huge demand for homes in the $250,000 to $400,000 price range and not enough inventory to satisfy the amount of buyers in this category. If you or someone you know are thinking of selling a home in this price range, give me a call! I can show you how I work for you and what your home should sell for. Then, when you are ready to search for your next home, we can start shopping. This is a great time of year to be in the market!
