The Year of Land
I am always pleasantly surprised by what a new fiscal year in real estate brings. Some years I mainly sell income properties, with a spattering of single family homes, other years, businesses, mini homes, some single family, some land. More often than not, of course, single family homes.
Having started out in '92, during a recession, I learned quickly to be diversified in my profession, and was always ready and willing to list and market any sort of property, if so called upon.
This year I seem to be dealing with a disproportionate amount of land listings. And they are selling! Sometimes land could take many months if not a year or more to sell, but it would seem that this year good land is selling quickly. Is Nova Scotia experiencing an influx of buyers from around the world who truly see that our real estate is a 'steal' here in Nova Scotia? Or perhaps some local developers who see an influx of British people moving to a saner part of the world? Who knows, but I never tire of the perlexities of how the real estate market is driven.
