Do you have a love for nature, photography, the outdoors, or all of the above? If so, be sure to take part in the 11th Annual Winter Bird Count at Rouge Park on Sunday, January 12!
This is a very popular event at the Rouge Park in which groups of volunteers count birds within an assigned counting zone. Groups are led by experienced birders, who will share with you their wealth of knowledge on birds as you hike through forests, meadows and wetlands. The count will run from 8am to approximately 1pm. Then all groups will convene at the Toronto Zoo to tally up totals.
All are welcome, whether you are new to birding or a birding expert. The event is for individuals over 13 years of age. Do you wish to bring a child who doesn’t meet the age requirement? There is a special trail for those 12 and under.
Make sure to bundle up! This is a rain (snow) or shine event. Snacks and hot beverages will be provided. Spaces are limited and registration is required. Please call 905-713-6007 or email email@example.com.
