With the holidays around the corner, there will be no shortage of festivities to put us all in the spirit - at least not in Markham.
On Saturday, December 1, at 7:30pm, the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (143 Main Street Markham North) will be holding the Village Voices Gloria Concert featuring John Rutter's Gloria, other seasonal music and an interactive audience carol sing-along. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and free for children under 12. For more information on this event, visit www.villagevoices.ca. This makes for the perfect holiday gift, or a great way to wow your out-of-town guests.
On Sunday, December 2, from 10am to 3pm, the Markham Village Train Station (214 Main Street Markham North) will be playing host to the 4th Annual Whistle Stop Christmas Fair in support of The Arthritis Society. You will find beautiful jewellery, flavourful specialty teas, unique holiday cards and ornaments, paintings, handmade soaps, cake and cupcakes, winter accessories, and lots more. A one-stop shop to get all your Christmas shopping done while supporting a great cause!
Your pawed furry friends will also be able to enjoy the festivities, too. Every Sunday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm beginning November 25 until December 16, bring your pet to the Sunday Pet Photos with Santa at Markville Shopping Centre (5000 Highway 7 East in the lower Bay court) for a photo op and create a lasting memory with Santa.
