Now that the holidays are in full swing and kids are out of school, you may find yourself scrambling for a way to keep your kids entertained. If so, the City of Markham is offering an array of extracurricular programs during the winter holidays to help keep your kids active and preoccupied.
With programs such as basketball, cheerleading, skating, soccer, drawing, arts and crafts, and lots more, there is something to suit every child’s interests. There are drop-in camps that run from 9:30am to 2:30pm for $20 per day or $55 per 3 days. The Markham Music is offering some winter-themed day camps that include treasure hunts and outdoor explorations. Most of the aforementioned programs are for individuals under 18 years of age, but there are also some drop-in programs for those over 16 years old. These programs include gourmet cooking classes for those looking to gain or perfect their culinary skills, haircutting class and cake decorating. Classes are held in community centers across Markham, the Varley Art Gallery or the Markham Museum.
