This summer marks the second season of the Markham at the Movies, an initiative of the Markham Arts Council. Markham at the Movies is a non-profit organization consisting of volunteers and film enthusiasts who have a passion for providing award-winning Canadian and international films as a form of entertainment to the local community. The movies selected have been ensured to be suitable for all audiences.
The movies are aired outdoors in the Millennium Park behind the Bandstand on Main Street Unionville. The events take place on Wednesdays and movies begin at dusk (8:30pm). Audiences will enjoy the screening of "Cars 2" on August 1st, "The Adventures of Tin Tin" on August 15th, and "Hugo" on August 29th.
Admission is free. Make sure to bring a lawn chair or some beach towels, and most of all, some company!
