Meet the Gerrits Team

 Klaas Gerrits is a Valley boy.  He was born in Wolfville and grew up in Sheffield Mills, and except for a four year sojourn to Halifax and Prince Edward Island in the mid-70's, he has lived his whole life in the Kentville area of the Annapolis Valley.
    Klaas was a successful farmer earning several awards for outstanding performance as a young farmer.  Upon selling his farm, he began to build homes and large barns as a contractor.  After 12 years in construction, Klaas pursued his dream of selling Real Estate.
    Since receiving his Real Estate Salesperson's License in 2002, Klaas has earned may awards and much recognition, both locally and on a national level.
    He is the 'field man' of the team; listing homes, showing properties and meeting with clients.

    Bernadine was born and raised on Prince Edward Island and joined Klaas in Real Estate Sales in 2005 when she became a licensed salesperson.
    She handles calls that come into the home office and acts as the extra hands and feet necessary in an active business, showing homes, writing offers and meeting with clients.

    Although working full time in Real Estate, Klaas and Bernadine continue to employ several builders in both new construction and renovations.
    Klaas and Bernadine have three children: Rachel, Isaac and Hannah.  They spent several years as foster parents, were members of the Nova Scotia Home Educators Association and are involved in the life of their church and their community.

    Deborah Kelley was born in Halifax but spent most of her growing-up years right here in the Valley.  Deborah works as Klaas & Bernadine's full time assistant.  She spends every weekday at the office 9-5.  She completes the team by managing the office, setting up appointments and efficiently organizing schedules.  She is in constant contact with clients, reminding them of deadlines and doing necessary paperwork.  She regularly e-mails possible property matches to clients interested in buying.
    Deborah and her husband Scot together have five children; Tyler, Candice, Chantel, Brittany and Braden. A new addition to their family is grandaughter Marisa.

    With their combined knowledge of the area and of the building industry, along with their record of working hard, they truly are agents that know homes and love people!.
