If you are currently participating in Natural Resources Canada’s ecoENERGY Retrofit program, the final deadline for having your post-retrofit evaluation performed is approaching!
As of March 31st, 2010, the ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes program ceased accepting bookings for pre-retrofit evaluations.
Homeowners must complete their energy upgrades well in advance to allow enough time for their post-retrofit evaluation, as all post-retrofit evaluations must be completed by March 31, 2011 to be eligible for a federal grant. Simply booking an evaluation appointment by the deadline is not sufficient – you must have booked an appointment far enough in advance to ensure you can be scheduled for a post-retrofit evaluation that can be completed no later than March 31, 2011.
In addition to the Federal ecoENERGY Retrofit program coming to a close, March 31st, 2011 is also the deadline for both Saskatchewan’s EnerGuide for Houses Program, and British Columbia’s LiveSmart BC Efficiency Incentive Program.
Some programs are continuing to offer cost and energy saving incentives through different provincial programs.
The Manitoba Hydro Power Smart Program has many energy and cost saving incentives on their website.
SaskEnergy offers more local incentives for those living in Saskatchewan
In Alberta, the Climate Change Central website contains information on continuing homeowner incentives for Albertan residents.
In British Columbia, find more energy saving incentives available through FORTIS BC
