Kiva Loan helped Afiwa Djimesse in Togo
As you know (or should know) I participate in donating money to Kiva often. With Kiva, I donate an amount and get to pick were and to who I want my money to help. I have helped Afiwa, who is from Togo in the past with helping her purchase fabric to make clothing to sell. Afiwa has raised a total of $975. Afiwa runs her business in the large market in Hedzranawoe. Her clients include anyone and everyone!
This loan was administered by Women and Associations for Gain both Economic and Social (WAGES), Togo’s second-largest micro finance institution. WAGES aims to become a stable micro finance institution that will serve as a model for other Togolese organizations. It also aims to actively participate in the socioeconomic development of its client base. Along with a wide range of savings and loan products, WAGES offers its clients training programs in basic literacy, health care (HIV/AIDS, malaria), and business-related subjects (business management, marketing, accounting). To find out more about WAGES, visit its Kiva partner page or the WAGES website. You can show your support for WAGES by joining its lending team!
