Repetition is a great way to draw the eye and complete a space. In the picture on the right, budget freindly plates/baskets purchased from Jysk, very effecttively decorate the hall. They're warm brown colour is neutral and lends itself to almost any decor while adding texture to the wall.
On the left is another great way to create art through repetition. Co-ordinate fabric with your homes colour scheme, and then simply mount the fabric in black frames with a white matting. Always group pieces in sets of two, three or four, once again, the eye responds to repetition.
When in search of fabric, I like to go to IKEA. They have various pieces of fabric priced under $20.00, that are often already grouped into co-ordinating colour schemes.
These fabrics can than be used for throw pillows, lamp shade covers and in picture frames. This technique ties the colour scheme together throughout the home, and uses repetition to create harmony in the design.
