2014 Near Record Year for Greater Toronto Home Sales
The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 92,867 residential sales in December, up 6.7 per cent over 2013 and just short of the record set in 2007—93,193 sales. Throughout 2014, annual increases in the average selling price were consistently reported on a monthly basis. December was no different, the average selling price increased by seven per cent to $556,602. Despite substantial price growth and limited supply the Greater Toronto housing market remains hot and signs point to a continuing upward trend.
