How would you describe your business?
Our company offers all of our customers and centres of influence top-notch home inspections. Dino Biondo is a fully accredited home inspector having completed his training at Seneca College and now being a member of the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors.
What motivated you to start your business?
I've always been an entrepreneur and have found a certain joy in being my own boss. I like to be resourceful and like to build something on my own --by myself. To be an entrepreneur is to create something and see it grow. My success is measured by the work I do and I have extremely good work ethic.
How long have you been in business?
Road to Home Inspection Inc. is part of a group called Road to Home Group of Companies. Initially, we started out with our renovation arm and have now expanded to include Road to Home Inspection and Road to Home Property Management as well. Our company has been in existence going on to five years.
What motivates you to go to work every morning?
I find great pleasure out of inspecting a home as no two homes are the same. It is always an adventure to try to piece together how it was built, the challenges the home owner ran into, and the complexity and integrity of the work completed. I love to be a able to look at a piece of real estate and see the quality of workmanship that has gone into building it.
How does your business reflect you as a person?
My business is a complete reflection of myself. I bring with myself professionalism and depth of knowledge towards a field of work I feel I was born to do. If I put my name on something, it has to be done right or I will make it right. This is what I expect of myself and all those whom work for me.
What skills are required in your position on a day-to-day basis?
My position requires that I be able to multi-task and have extremely good interpersonal skills. I need to be organized and detailed-oriented. I need to be able to have effective managerial skills and be able to delegate work efficiently. I need to be knowledgeable and organized.
How do you describe your clients-what do they want/expect most and how do you deliver?
My clients are inquisitive, savvy and generally well informed individuals whom are looking towards me to give their purchase or sale the final seal of approval. I always give my most thought- out, knowledgeable response to issues that may become a potential problem. I deliver a professional, concise inspection report, complete with pictures and diagrams to ensure the buyer/seller is making the best possible decision.
Why do your clients select you over your competitors?
I feel the reason my clients select me over the competition is because of what I bring to the table. I have extensive knowledge and experience in the field of housing/renovation which takes a lifetime to build. At a tender age, I have always been interested in leaning how to build and renovate homes. Through the years, I have done countless renovation and remodelling projects for my friends and family. As I have always been passionate about homes, the next natural progression for me was to become a home inspector. I feel that my theoretical knowledge, as well as my practical knowledge gives me an edge over my competition. For me, this is more than just a job. This is what I love doing.
