The Importance of Curb Appeal

615 HIghglen Avenue - Sold $792,000 June 15th 2014

CENTURY 21 Leading Edge Realtor Farhan Mohamed recounts the sale of 615 Highglen Avenue.

The asking price for 615 Highglen Avenue was $797,000 but few offers were coming in. The highest verbal offer received was $669,000, which we refused for obvious reasons. After carefully reviewing buyer comments we decided to improve the home’s curb appeal. Who would have thought that hanging two plants, overhauling the garden, planting some nice flowers, painting the garage door and front entrance doors, and staining the interlocking brick driveway would result in such a big difference? The offers slowly rolled in and a few short weeks later we accepted an offer $123,000 more than the previous offer.

I forgot to take a before picture but thanks to Google Earth this is what the house used to look like and then after our improvements.
