So who is Lee Coley?
Lee Coley is originally from Leicester in the heart of England. As a Royal Engineer Lee has spent his whole career in the construction industry and has organised the construction or refurbishment of infrastructure around the world, both in peacetime and during conflict. During his varied military career Lee has worked in all of the major hotspots, the most recent being a 7 month tour in Afghanistan where he was heavily involved in the reconstruction and development of the countries infrastructure. Lee has also enjoyed many other interesting and diverse positions and has been lucky enough to have been the Property Manager for the Royal Air Force at 5 Wing Goose Bay and the Engineering Works Consultant for the British Military Estate in Kenya.
Loyalty, Dedication, Integrity, Honesty form the backbone of Lee's business philosphy and through this foundation he aims to provide the ultimate in service to all customers and clients!!
After 25 years service in the Corp of Royal Engineers in the British Army Lee settled in Nova Scotia making Dartmouth his home in 2008. One half of the award winning Chambers Coley Team Lee has quickly grown a wide client base satisfying the needs of Buyers and Sellers alike. Community is important and Lee has volunteered for over 5 years as a member of the Childrens Breakfast Program at Colonel John Stewart Elementary which he enjoys immensely.
In what has been a long and varied service Lee has been fortunate enough to serve in the following countries:
Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Greece, Albania, Gibraltar, Cyprus, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Kenya
Lee started his military career as an Electrician before becoming an Electrical Engineer. As his military career progressed as did the level of responsibility associated with his appointments, these included:
- Electrical Design Engineer
- Property Manager
- Facilities Manager
- Head of Construction Consultancy
The variety of roles within the construction industry have afforded Lee a wide knowledge in multiple construction disciplines.
While serving in Afghanistan Lee completed the Development Plan for the town of Musa Qal'ah, the plan was presented to the Afghan Government by President Karzai and subsequently approved for implementation.
As part of the Award winning and highly successful 'Chambers Coley Team' Lee has successfully completed the purchase and sale of hundreds of properties. His background in Construction, Contract and Property Management has given him an excellent foundation to ensure his clients get the very best from start to finish.
My personal interests are varied and primarily sports related. I still find time to play Squash and Golf but have decided to hang up my Rugby and Soccer boots, although I am still a keen follower of both. I also enjoy volunteering at the Breakfast Program during the school year.
I have a modest coin collection, primarily from the UK but also from many area's visited by the allied military during WWII.
Originally entering the military as an apprentice electrician I progressed up through the educational ladder gaining a hugely varied experience level. The continuous professional training opportunities provided by the military equipped me with an eagerness to learn specifically in Construction, Project Management and Property Management. The foundation for all my endeavors has been effective management and in 2005 I successfully became a Member of the Institute of Chartered Management.

For six long, frustrating months we were trying to sell our house on our own - check emails to see if anyone wants to see the house, if they do, how much time do we have to get the house ready; check emails to see if anyone came through on their promise to "be in touch" after seeing the house and loving it....check phone in case we missed a call from someone who was supposed to show up and didn't...you know how it goes...make cookies so the house smells like "home" and maybe they'll think it'll always smell that way! Ha! We were on a not so "merry" Merry 'go Round!
Along came Lee...from the first visit we felt relief. How I have wished we'd done this earlier, but it doesn't matter now. I want to say thank you for helping us through this time in our lives.
Thank you for giving us confidence that our home is a good home..that we've taken care of it well enough for someone else to make it their own without too much work on their part...thank you for being honest and upfront with us about things we would need to address or at least make potential buyer's aware of...thank you for keeping me calm when that's all I had to do in the first place.
Thank you for respecting us, for keeping us informed - sometimes you called just to say "no news - but just wanted you to know there's good activity on your site, so keep your hopes up - everything's good" Thank you for keeping your word - if you were coming on a certain day at a certain time, you did...if you couldn't, you called.
You treated us like we were friends, not clients. I wish I had another house to sell so I'd know you would be stopping by! And, if I ever do, or if I know of anyone who is thinking about selling their home, you can be sure yours will be the name(s) I sing from the rooftop!
Being first time home buyers , It was wonderful that he was always available by phone, text or email to answer any questions we had.
He helped us find the prefect home.

In May 2009 & 2016 we decided to sell our home and were referred to Lee by a friend who had recently hired Lee for the purchase of a new home.
As the real estate market was in a huge upswing, we had considered selling our home privately but after one meeting with Lee we knew hiring him would be the best money we could spend.
During our first meeting Lee was extremely professional, and although selling real estate is his livelihood, he did not come across as a salesman. He sat with us for several hours; as we tend to be a couple with a lot of questions, and he provided us with a ton of information as well as an excellent market value for our home and some guidance on what we should/could do for staging.
We listed our home on a Saturday morning (on a long weekend) and it was SOLD on the Tuesday evening!!
We also acquired the services of Lee for the purchase of our new home. This was more of a challenge for him as we loked and looked and looked and couldn't find the right fit for us. This had little to do with Lee and more to do with us trying to decide what we wanted. Lee was always available for us and truly accomodated our schedule for viewing homes. In fact, I am quite sure his wife was pleased when we finally found a home because we kept him busy on most evenings for several weeks.
Once Lee determined what we were looking for he called us and said "I have found the perfect home for you" and he was right. He knew exactly what we were looking for and he found it. On June 19th we moved into our new home.
We not only found a real estate agent we totally trust, we also found a friend. We are still in touch with Lee, and in fact, he spent Canada Day with us in our new home.
We were extremley pleased with Lee's service, dedication and commitment. He is a family man making an honest living and he does a fantastic job.

Lee made the entire process of buying my first home incredibly easy! In fact, if it wasn't for Lee taking the time to completely understand exactly what I was looking for, I probably wouldn't have been able to find my perfect match.
I have a career and personal life that keeps me constantly on the go, so I didn't have time to scour the always evolving listings that exist in HRM.
