Edmonton Area Housing Market Remains Stable - No Surprises

The Edmonton Real Estate market has remained stable, without any drastic changes over the past 18 months. We have seen seasonal highs and lows, but even these ranges have not been wide, when considering all factors. The Realtors Association of Edmonton reported the number of properties sold was down 8.2% from November 2010, but prices remained stable and the number of properties listed for sale also decreased.  These stats show us that the Edmonton market remains very much a stable, safe place to invest. While the unemployment rate was on the rise accross the country, Alberta's rate slightly declined.
