The Durham Region Commercial Realtors' Network had a breakfast meeting this morning at Durham College's Bistro '67 on Champlain Avenue in Whitby.
This is part of the college's new learning facility for students in the culinary, hospitality, event management, tourism, food science, agricultural and horticultural programs. The Centre for Food houses Bistro '67, a teaching-inspired, green-certified restaurant.
In addition to explaining the way that the college's programs are engaging students in the growing, harvesting, storing, processing, packaging, and selling of delicious food, Susan Todd, Dean of the School of Science & Engineering Technology, also conducted our tour of the facilities, including the greenhouse.
And the food was great!
