Winter makes it hard to get out and do things with the family. Luckily we live in York Region and there are plenty of great events running this winter!
The Town of Newmarket is running Winterfest again this year. It features two days of fun winter activities across Newmarket, hosted by the Town of Newmarket and supported by 35 community organizations. Try new activities, foods and enjoy live music. The Town of Aurora is doing Aurora's Arctic Adventure event happening on Monday, February 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Aurora Town Park, located at Mosley and Wells Streets. Another great event happening in York Region is Winterfest at Markham Museum(9350 Markham Road).
Come and Celebrate Family Day at the Museum! Explore the science of snow, and try snowshoeing and ice block building. There will be lots of activities, crafts for the kids, music, and great food! $3 per person (children under two are free)
