It’s not something everyone wants to talk about. But we want to get the word out there. And that starts with doing the math.
Colon cancer is 90% preventable if detected early. In 2012, an estimated 23,200 new cases were diagnosed in Canada. More than 9,000 Canadians lost their lives that same year. Something does not add up! At Colon Cancer Canada we are working towards drastically changing these numbers. It is our wish that no one experiences the pain and suffering of colon cancer. It is preventable, treatable, and beatable!

Please join us Saturday, June 22nd, 2013 at the Aurora Family Leisure Complex, located on Industrial Blvd in Aurora, for the 3rd annual "Push for Your Tush" organized by Tanya's Tushies. Not only will you be walking or running, but we will have a silent auction, face painter, delicious food and more! Don't forget to dress in team costumes for a chance to win a great prize!
This event is being held to honour Tanya Shepherd, an amazing young woman who lost her fight with colon cancer and left us far too soon.
Tanya was my best friend, maid of honnor at my wedding and a fantastic mother to her son Jack- who is now my daughters best friend. We would love any new additions to our team- Tanya's Tushies- or start one of your own!
There are many others who have been affected by this devastating disease, and now we are walking and running for them as well. Join us for a fun-filled day for a great cause!
