Wow, what a great weekend!
On Saturday June 26th at 10 am myself and many of my fellow Realtors from our Century 21 Heritage Group Ltd. Newmarket office participated in the Big Bike Ride for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Unfortunately it was pouring rain but the weather could not dampen our spirits as we rode from the Boston Pizza parking lot on Greenlane down Yonge Street to the Walmart and back up Yonge Street.
What surprised me the most was the awesome support from motorists as we passed by honking their horns and lowering their windows in the pouring rain to cheer for us as we rode by. We had a police escort and they were wonderful in keeping us safe.
Alot goes into an event like that and I cannot thank Eric McCartney from our office enough for all his hard work. The organizers from the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Metrus Properties for allowing use of the parking lot at Greenlane and Yonge, Boston Pizza for supplying us with pizza and warm coffee and the police officers. Lastly to my sponsors, my husband Victor Rego, and my children Nicholas and Avery who not only supported the cause financially but also were there as my own personal cheering section, my parents Chris and Viva Rametta and my dear friend Theresa Hartman.
Please check back in to my website in a few days to see more pictures. Can't wait for next year!
