My Personal Quote and Biography

Personal Quote

Working From Sign Up to Sign Down” is the slogan I choose to use as a foundation for my business. It helps keep me accountable to my clients. For both my Sellers as the physical sign goes up as well as my Buyers from the first signature on the Buyer Agency form to the final signature on the Fulfillment of Condition, making their purchase firm. I love to serve my clients.

Biography

I began working in a fish plant in a little town in New Brunswick at the age of 13. We were paid by piecework which meant you made as little or much money as you wanted depending on how hard you worked. At this young age I was very driven by competition and did not want my age or inexperience to hinder how much I could do. All through high school and College I made my living cutting the heads and tails off fish with a pair or scissors and putting them into cans, but I loved the thrill of beating records and setting new ones and the pride on paycheck day knowing I’d earned every penny. That foundation, as menial of a job as it was, shaped my work ethic into where it is today.

After I got married, I worked in Toronto for Royal Trust as a Mortgage Administrator for three years. I learned a lot about mortgages and how fast/slow people could pay them off depending on their plan and discipline. I also learned the value of the Real Estate investment and how it paid off to prepare for the future.

When I moved to Collingwood in 1995, I had a two year old and a 2 week old baby and wanted to stay home with them until they went to school so I started a home daycare business so I could raise my kids myself as well as contribute to the family income. I loved being the one to teach preschoolers a lot of their firsts in life and helping them overcome their shortcomings making them stronger because of it.

I took that love of teaching into teaching Nursery School at Maple Lane for seven years. The thrill of teaching such young lives and seeing them grow from one month to the other was very rewarding and I loved to go to work every day and make a difference.

When my children were at the age where they didn’t need me as much, I decided it was my turn to do something I wanted to do which would give my family more security for the future and let me do something I had never done before that I’d always wanted to do. I took my work ethic, my Mortgage Administrator expertise, and my passion for teaching and went into Real Estate.

I love to educate both Buyers and Sellers in the Real Estate process. I’ve also taken young people with bad credit from renting to purchasing by educating them along the way and helping them fulfill their dream of owning their own home so they could invest in their families future. I love my job.
