Happy New Year!
As we settle in for the long winter nights that are still ahead of us, I've been finding the urge to declutter. Purging closets and drawers is one of those things that I always want to do right after Christmas. It's a good time to do it - I've found receipts for income tax that I'll be wanting later in the year, gift cards that I've forgotten about, and made room for some of the sale clothing that I'm sure I'll be accumulating in the next couple of weeks.
If you're planning on listing your house in the Spring, this is a good way to get started on the process of making your home more inviting to a Buyer. It's nice to know that a potential Buyer will be able to open a closet and not have the contents spill on top of them.
If you're planning on buying your first home, the more you declutter now, the easier it will be when it's time to pack up and move to that first dream home.
