Time to Get Rid of Those Christmas Planters??!

I think we can all agree that this year has been a particularly long and cold winter.  I am noticing out there that many people still have their Christmas planters adorning their front steps. These plants are clearly well past their prime and looking a little orange and dry. In fact, I only got rid of mine a few weeks ago! Let’s face it , we had snow a week ago, no one wants to go gardening in the temperatures we’ve had!

In light of finally seeing the grass outside, I am thinking a little Spring Décor outside might help lift spirits and provide a little extra curb appeal if you are thinking of putting your house on the market. It’s still too early for Spring planting, but a nice planter at your front door might to the trick.  Let me be clear I am not a talented gardener, but last week I made some planters for a client, so I thought I would share my process.  I bought a fake branch with some purple flowers for some colour and some icicle pansies at the store, and in light of earth week I reused some pieces from my Christmas planters, like the birch branches. Added some pussy willows I had on hand, and trimmed some pine and some boxwood from my property to fill it up a bit!   Not as creative as some would be capable of, but something that ANYONE can do to bring on some Springtime!!  You don't have to be creative to give it a try!!

Look for these planters at my new listing –
