MoneySense ranks Regina as one of the Top 10 Mid-Sized Cities to live in Canada in 2013

MoneySense's annual ranking measures the quality of life in 200 Canadian cities across the country. A total of 33 categories are considered to determine which urban areas offer the best places to live, work and play. Categories include: weather, affordable housing, household and discretionary income, new cars on the road, job prospects, population growth, health care access, crime rate and ability to walk or bike to work.

Regina ranked #6 as in the Top Mid-Sized Cities to live in Canada in 2013. Overall, Regina ranked #17 out of the 200 cities surveyed. A city has to score well in all categories to come out on top.

For overall ranking in large cities, Calgary took the #1 spot, Ottawa is #2, followed by Edmonton, London, Winnipeg, Halifax, Toronto, Mississauga, Quebec City and Vancouver.

For mid-sized cities Burlington, Ontario took the #1 spot followed by Oakville, Saanich, Lethbridge, Saskatoon, Regina, Kingston, Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Lévis.
