The Brownstones at Westown - an exciting new real estate opportunity in the Toronto community of Weston, where Sheppard Ave meets Weston Rd.
More about the community...
Weston is an up-and-coming area for Toronto real estate. Finding a house or any piece of real estate in Toronto is never easy, but Weston has plenty to offer at an affordable price- and still in the city! The former Village of Weston, once part of the City of York is located in the northwestern part of Toronto. It is bordered approximately by Lawrence Avenue to the south, Highway 401 to the north, Black Creek Drive to the east and the Humber River to the west, Weston is anchored by the aptly-named Weston Road.
On Weston Road, you will find everything, from shops to churches to parks- and even Weston Country Club! Up towards the 401, there is a massive Real Canadian Superstore, which has everything from groceries to gas! Weston Road, as well as the connecting streets also feature many small restaurants and bakeries, a unique feature of the neighbourhood.
Weston Road, in addition to being the main commercial artery, has regular bus service to Keele Station on the Bloor-Danforth Line. Weston also has a GO station leading right to Union Station and Georgetown, something that most Toronto real estate doesn’t have. If you want or need to drive, Weston is right by Highway 401 and 400, which makes getting around simple.
Weston, in addition to its stock of real estate, is full of parks. Weston is located right by the Humber River, and the east bank is almost entirely lush parkland, with everything from playgrounds to cycling trails. There is even Weston Country Club, where Weston Road and St. Philips Drive intersect.
Weston’s greatest treasure, however, is its real estate stock. Unlike much of the northern part of Toronto, Weston has plenty of heritage houses which have all of the Toronto heritage hallmarks- red brick construction, three storeys, and ornate “gingerbread” style wood trim. Unlike downtown Toronto, they are nicely spaced out on large lots. Weston’s real estate stock also consists of newer bungalows and two-storey houses, most of which feature large lots and tree-lined streets. Many of the streets also have small parks along them, a great feature for families and pets. This is truly a unique real estate find, combining the advantages of downtown and the suburbs at highly affordable pricing.
For unique and heritage real estate, still in the city and easy to get or go to what you need, you can’t go wrong with Weston!
