In Victoria different architectural styles mix with a cautios disregard that makes modern buildings stand amid heritage ones zealously protected by the city. Everywhere will you find beautiful gardens, at every turn a street guarded by lush trees offering their seasonal spectacle, the ocean or perhaps further the snow-capped Olympic Mountains. Living here feels like a privilege.

Cuando llegué a Victoria hace trece años me impactaron la belleza de los paisajes, la limpieza de sus calles, la mezcla de razas y, sobre todo, la amabilidad de la gente. En Victoria un extranjero no se siente desamparado. La isla está plena de ganas de ayudar. Una mano amiga y honesta se extiende adonde quiera que uno vaya. Es un excelente lugar para criar niños, extraordinario punto de partida de cualquier aventura, inigualable refugio del mundo.
En Victoria se mezclan los estilos arquitectónicos con un precavido arrojo que hace despuntar modernos edificios entre patrimoniales construcciones del siglo XIX celosamente protegidas por la ciudad. En cualquier pedacito de tierra hay un bello jardín, al voltear cualquier esquina una calle custodiada de frondosos árboles que ofrecen su particular y colorido espectáculo en cada estación del año, al otro lado de la calle quizá vea el mar y más allá las montañas Olímpicas coronadas de nieve casi todo el año. Vivir aquí se siente como un privilegio.
